NEXT 99.1 FM, the next level of radio, began broadcasting on August 21st 2006 and targets the youth and young adults from 16 years to 35 years.

Since 2011, music genres has been merging and mixing, our music reflects  this trend and gives  listeners a bit of everything , in other words,’Chart topping and recurrent music with the best of what’s new.’
Next 99 has led the way with popular successful products such as Soca City, Pavement Lime and One Jamming Street party.

We also disseminate positive messaging and developmental encouragement for our youth/young adults with attention to national issues. ‘It’s cool to be smart.’

We make a direct linkage with the audience by highlighting the latest trends/releases, utilising the new media platforms which is the preferred mode of communication for this demographic
The station will continue to innovate its programming to reflect the ever changing dynamics of the youth market. Audiences can look forward to not only hearing but seeing the Next team in their communities.

The Next 99 team is led by Ag Senior Producer Nicholas Hoyte.
