The Environmental Management Authority is maintaining that the fish kill in south Trinidad is in no way related to any form of poisoning.

Today the EMA conducted an aerial survey of 'a sheen' along the Otaheite to Vessigny area, their findings indicate that there is no visible shoreline impact along the coastline and no dead fish in the BRIGHTON MARINE SUB AREA, "B" BLOCK operated by Trinity Exploration and Production Limited (TEPL).

Postal Workers Stage Sick Out

Frustrated postal workers staged a sick out on Thursday expressing their frustration as government imposed yet another delay in the issuance of their backpay.

The TTPost workers say they were promised their money for 2011 to 2013 since last June but that had been twice postponed.

The latest date set for the end of August does not sit well with the union president.

Republic Bank has stepped in to help finance the government's budget by issuing a two billion dollar fixed rate bond.
