Tree Planting and Reforestation Initiative On World Environment Day 2017

Celebrated each year on June 5th, World Environment Day has developed into a global platform for taking action on urgent environmental issues.

Millions of people have taken part over the years, helping drive change in our consumption habits, as well as in national and international environmental policy.

Here at home, the Canadian High Commission in Trinidad and Tobago collaborated with the Hakwai Clan Ltd. and the National Forestry Division of Trinidad and Tobago to host a Tree Planting and Reforestation Initiative.
