Maxwell injured ahead of Windies tour

Glenn Maxwell has joined the Australian exodus from the IPL, departing early from Kings XI Punjab with an apparent side strain. 
 
Kings XI are out of contention for the IPL playoffs, and Maxwell told Cricket Australia medical staff that he has been feeling increasingly sore over recent matches.
 
CA's national team physio David Beakley said Maxwell's fitness would now need to be assessed ahead of Australia's departure for the limited-overs triangular series in the Caribbean.
