The St. Andrews Golf Club Championship sponsored by Coca Cola takes place this weekend, Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th June. Coca Cola has been the exclusive sponsor of this prestigious annual event for over the last 11 years. A full field of over 110 golfers will be competing on the St Andrews Championship Golf Course in Moka, Maraval for two days of intense but enjoyable competition.

The golf course is in fantastic condition to host this event. The club’s elite golfers such as local celebrity Brian Lara, will be competing this year in the Championship Flight where he will be able to display his skills and talent in the sport of golf. Not only was Brian Lara a world class cricket player, he is also a very talented golfer who has achieved the handicap necessary to compete in the Championship Flight.

In the men’s division defending champion and winner of the 2015 Sagicor St. Andrews Invitational, Sol Joanni, will face stiff opposition from the likes of top golfers Deryck Gonsalves, Wayne Baptiste, Brian Lara and Douglas Ammon.

In the Ladies category, last year's "A" Class winner, Ysabelle Lawrence, would have to face heavy competition from Christina Ferreira, home to play in the just concluded National Trials, Sabrina Mitchell and Serena Mackenzie.

Coca Cola supports a number of charities and this weekend they will be supporting the Living Waters Community. Coca Cola will assist Living Waters in achieving many of their goals to bettering the lives of the underprivileged here in Trinidad and Tobago.

Catch the excitement with Coca Cola, and stay tuned for the results which will be published next week!
