Not too surprisingly, double Olympic medallist in the Javelin, Keshorn Walcott, has decided to end his season early to concentrate on preparations for next year.

The 25 year old Walcott posted that he deliberated for some time over the decision to cut short this season, but in the interest of better preparing for a big year next year, he decided it was the best course of action.

He indicated that he was also recovering from two elbow surgeries which hindered his performances and restricted his fitness levels.

But with the benefit of additional rest, Walcott feels he could return to something like his best form in time for next year's World Championships set for Doha, Qatar from September 28 through October 6th.
