The Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, Shamfa Cudjoe, joined FIFA's African and Caribbean Regional Director, Veron Mosengo-Omba, and President of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA), David John-Williams, on Monday to examine the current status of the Home of Football project in Couva.

Accompanying the Minister were Chairman of the Sport Company of Trinidad and Tobago, Douglas Camacho, and other officials of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs.

Discussions on this project began in April 2017, when the Prime Minister, Dr. Keith Rowley, met with FIFA's President, Gianni Infantino, and David John-Williams during Infantino's first official visit to Trinidad and Tobago.

During the site visit, Minister Cudjoe expressed her satisfaction with the progress of the project, which is expected to be completed by October 2018.
