The Annual Olympic Day Celebrations took place at Woodford Square on Friday, a departure from its traditional venue uptown Port-of-Spain.

President of the TTOC Brian Lewis, explained the rationale behind the change of venue, even as the message remains the same.

Lewis also admitted to being impressed with the volume of traffic that passed through Woodford Square, especially with the number of school children who visited throughout the day.

Several groups and sporting organisations were also present to lend support and disseminate information to interested parties.

Also, lending support was the City Corporation, which facilitated the move to the larger Woodford Square.
