This country's badminton players once again found the going tough on the second day of competition in the Pan American Team Championships being played at the National Racquet Centre in Tacarigua.

Team Trinidad and Tobago men were in action against the Dominican Republic on Friday evening and in singles action, the local lads could not get the better of their Spanish-speaking Caribbean neighbours as they went down by five games to nil.

The women were also on the losing end once again, this time they faced pre-tournament favourites the United States in doubles action and also in singles action. However, they could do little to stop the Americans as they swept aside the host nation for a comfortable five-nil victory.
