W Connection stayed in second place behind North East Stars after knocking off former champs Central FC 3-1, while San Juan Jabloteh returned to their winning ways with a tense 4-3 win over Police in the TT Pro League.

Leaders North East Stars stumbled slightly in a 1-1 draw with third-placed Club Sando, in the TT Pro League, delaying the celebrations of the runaway league leaders somewhat.

On a day when the Defence Force thrashed Rangers 4-0, Stars missed the chance to close the deal.
