Bassarath Pleads For Financial Assistance For TTCB

In a scathing attack on those controlling the country's purse strings, President of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board, Azim Bassarath, repeated his call for urgent financial assistance to ensure the survival of the gentleman's game here in T&T.

He made his remarks at the Annual Awards Function which recognised the outstanding individuals who performed with both bat and ball during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

He again pointed to another successful year in domestic cricket both on and off the pitch, but lamented the lack of promised funding by way of grants from Government.
