First Citizens Cup: Foncette Couldn't Save Police

Several of the home-based football players on the National Squad were back in action almost immediately with their respective clubs in the qualifiers of the First Citizens Cup Series.

Tyrik John scored his maiden goal for Central to advance ahead of MIC-It St. Ann's Rangers, while goalkeeper Adrian Foncette, one of the T&T heroes in the win over the USA the night before, was again brilliant, but still couldn't save his team, Police, from falling to Point Fortin Civic.
