June 18, 2018, Kent House, Maraval – With the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service announcement of the start of the rainy season on June 1, 2018, the Ministry of Rural Development wishes to inform the public of the mitigation efforts which have been ongoing in each of the fourteen (14) Municipal Corporations in preparation.
June 14th, 2018 Kent House, Maraval – As the month of Ramadan comes to an end, I would like to wish Muslims in Trinidad and Tobago and all over the world, Eid Mubarak on the occasion of Eid ul Fitr.
Further to its press release on the water supply to parts of Maraval and Paramin served by Paramin Well No. 7, the Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) wishes to advise customers that completion of repairs to the facility has been delayed.
Whilst I am reluctant to respond to the predictable UNC activists and the voices of any self-serving extremist fringe who seek opportunity and benefit by attempting to stir up ethnic and religious discord in our country, I am duty bound to respond so as to prevent any harmful misrepresentation of any statements made by me or any action taken by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.
June 7th, 2018 Kent House, Maraval –Yesterday, the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government hosted a meeting at the City Hall Auditorium, San Fernando in which it invited the Chief Executive Officers of all fourteen (14) Municipal Corporations to present on the status of their funding and projects.
June 5th, 2018, Kent House, Maraval – Yesterday afternoon, Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Haji Kazim Hosein and Minister of Education Anthony Garcia came together with officials of both Ministries as well as Mayors, Chairmen and Chief Executive Officers from the fourteen Municipal Corporations to discuss the vacation school repair programme.
As Minister with responsibility for the Environment I am pleased to join the rest of the world in celebration of World Environment Day 2018 where we recognise our connection to our own local ecosystems and to the wider biosphere of our planet.
Following the recently concluded working visit to Australia by Prime Minister Dr the Honourable Keith Rowley and an accompanying delegation and the concerns that the Government has with respect to the ten Austal vessels owned by the State, a team from Austal has arrived in Trinidad and Tobago.
