Energy Minister Appointed As 2018’s President Of The Gas Exporting Companies Forum

Energy Minister Franklin Khan has been appointed as the President of the Gas Exporting Companies Forum for the year 2018. 

The announcement came via a press release from the Ministry on Friday morning.

Minister Khan was appointed on October 4th when he travelled to Russia for the 19th Ministerial Meeting.

The Member Countries discussed developments, opportunities and challenges of global energy markets and their resolve to pursue the promotion of natural gas as an affordable, accessible, reliable and clean source of energy, based on environmental targets arising from the Paris Agreement.

As President of the GECF Trinidad and Tobago will host the 20th Ministerial Meeting to be held on November 14th 2018.
