After several years of calls for such an initiative, the Trinidad and Tobago Police service is set to launch the body worn camera pilot project.

The launch will take place at the St. Joseph Police station on Friday afternoon.
In 2012, then director of the Police Complaints Authority had called for police body cameras as a means to properly gauge the validity of police conduct while in the line of duty.

Acting commissioner Stephen Williams will speak at the launch.
Earlier this year, members of the Princes Town municipal police began using body cameras.
