As the Easter vacation continues for schools across the country, the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government invites all sea-bathers, campers and parents along with their kids to come out and lend a helping hand to corporate volunteers, volunteer groups, employees of the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation and residents as we do our civic duty to restore clean communities that bring a sense of pride in our twin-island paradise.
Let us join together as we continue to create cleaner, healthier and safer communities through the spirit of volunteerism. Clean-up exercises will continue to tackle overgrown lots, derelict vehicles, dilapidated and ruinous buildings, disposal of bulk and white waste, desilting of major drains and watercourses as well as clearing of debris.
Citizens are kindly advised to identify and report ruinous structures, derelict vehicles, illegal signs and overgrown lots to your municipal corporations to ensure that the proper procedures are followed when the National Clean-Up Campaign comes to your region.
For more information, feel free to contact the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation’s Public Health Department at 668-3114 (Ext. 123).
Let’s Team Up to Clean Up!
