2 Men Arrested For Possession Of Narcotics

Police have arrested two men who were found in possession of narcotics. A firearm was also seized. 

Reports say during the hours of 2pm and 10pm on Monday officers from the central division arrested 44 year old Nigel Phillip for possession of marijuana and 22 year old Shawndell Goldon of Morne Cyril Road, Paramin Village, Maraval for cocaine.

Officers say they then went to Agostini Road, Maracas Village, St Joseph where a search was carried out in an abandoned bushy area where they found 400 grams of a substance resembling cocaine.

No one was arrested.

The officers also said based on information they got they went to Dass Trace, Enterprise, Chaguanas where they found a black metal object resembling a berretta 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine loaded with 5 rounds of 9mm ammunition. No one was arrested.

A total of 43 stop and search forms were also filled out in the enterprise area and several Nissan Tiida vehicles were stopped and searched.
