The US Embassy says postings on social media that a person does not need a visa to travel to the United States are not true.
In a statement it reminded travellers using Trinidad and Tobago passports of the continued requirement of a valid visa.
The embassy asked persons to visit their website at TT.USembassy.gov for official information regarding application instructions and requirements.
The embassy is asking applicants to exercise caution with their personal information and to refrain from paying anyone who promises to process their visa or to expedite the application process.
