CHARLIEVILLE – Last week, Prime Minister Dr. Rowley, speaking at a Chamber of Commerce Dinner, confirmed Government’s position that the Property Tax on residential properties will be based on the annual rental value, and NOT the capital value. Using the example of a million-dollar property, the PM suggested that property owners would not mind paying “$120 per month” to get their roads and drains fixed and rats killed.
