President of the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association, Lindsay Doodhai, is urging parents not to send their children to school next Friday, September 7th, as teachers intend to stand in support of the Joint Trade Union Movement's "Day of Rest and Reflection."

Speaking at a Joint Trade Union Movement Press Conference on Wednesday, Mr. Doodhai said teachers have had enough.

Commenting on the planned shutdown of the Petrotrin Refinery, Mr. Doodhai said it will impact all sectors.

At the Labour Rally in June, JTUM Head, Ancel Roget, had announced September 7th as a "Day of Rest and Reflection" and has been calling on all sectors to support the move.
