Armed Forces Ready For Independence Parade

Trinidad and Tobago will celebrate its 56th Independence anniversary on Friday.

Public Affairs Officer of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force, Flight Lieutenant Monique Sprott, confirmed that all is in place for the momentous event.

She said both unarmed and armed forces will gather for the start of the parade, and there will be two additions parading this year.

At the end of the official arrivals of the Minister of National Security, the Chief Justice, and the Prime Minister, the President, the Head of the Armed Forces, will arrive.

Flight Lieutenant Sprott said the country is invited to this special gift to share in our national pride on 56 years of independent status.
