Ministry's Database Show Over 3,000 Citizens Need A Validated Food Card

Minister of Social Development and Family Services Cherrie-Ann Crichlow-Cockburn said there are over 3,000 people on the Ministry's database who need to validate their food card certification.  

Minister Crichlow-Cockburn said during a recertification exercise of the food support programme aimed at assisting families who have difficulties meeting nutritional needs due to limited income, it was revealed that there were people benefiting from the list who do not meet the criteria.

The Minister also said she recently learnt that there were police officers on the list who should not be there.
