Political Leader of the Movement for Social Justice, David Abdullah says Chief Justice Ivor Archie should consider resigning. This after the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago was granted permission to launch an investigation into allegations of misconduct.

Last week the Privy Council rejected the CJ's appeal confirming that the Law Association is entitled to investigate allegations of misconduct, made against the Chief Justice, with a view either to assure the public that after due examination, the Association is satisfied that the allegations have no merit or to refer a complaint to the Prime Minister under Section 137 to treat with, as he deems fit.

The MSJ leader said the Chief Justice should consider resigning before he is impeached.
