If you're stuck in traffic heading South or East from Port of Spain, it's due to a traffic diversion caused by a sinkhole in Central Trinidad.

The sinkhole is on the Southbound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway in the vicinity of Courts. The Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management has advised that the Police Service has executed its traffic management plan and has diverted traffic to maintain public safety.

Persons are being urged to observe the instructions of officers on site.

Commuters are also being urged to seek alternative routes where possible, and expect traffic delays.
