Tobago West MP, Shamfa Cudjoe, is refuting claims that Tobago's occupancy is down to zero.

Speaking at Thursday's Post Cabinet Media Briefing, she said such statements made in the public domain were meant to cause discord.

She provided figures to back up her claims. She said for the period January to June 2018, there were 14,499 international arrivals versus 14,099 for the same period in 2017 - representing a 2.8% increase. Domestic arrivals also saw a slight increase for the year so far.

The MP said Tobago is on show right now, and she invited people to come and see what Tobago has to offer.
