Opposition Senator, Wade Mark, is calling on the Prime Minister and his Cabinet to prove the sea worthiness of the Galleons Passage before allowing the public to travel on the vessel.

Reading from a report bearing a Lloyd's Register title page, the Opposition Senator said the vessel had several non-compliance issues, prompting him to question the safety of passengers on board.

However, when questioned further on the report, the Opposition Senator said he did not receive the document from Lloyd's Register, but rather a credible source, and he challenged the media to verify the document.

He also could not state exactly when the inspection referred to in the report was done.
