Sandals Deal Finalised By Year's End

Minister in the Office of Prime Minister, Stuart Young, has confirmed that the Government is seeking to finalise the deal with Sandals by the end of the year.

Minister Young confirmed the plan during a Press Conference in Tobago, following a meeting and tour of Buccoo with Sandals executives on Tuesday.

CEO of Sandals Resort, Adam Stewart, said Sandals' approach would be informed by a study by environmentalists.

He told reporters that he was impressed by the landscape and facilities in Tobago, and felt that the group would only serve to help the community.
