Strong currents have reduced the speed of the Galleons Passage, causing another delay in its arrival.

According to the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCO), the vessel was scheduled to arrive in Trinidad and Tobago on Monday around 2pm, and will now arrive some time in the evening due to reduced speed.

NIDCO said the vessel, once docked in Port of Spain, will undergo routine inspection and clearance by Customs and Excise at the Cruise Ship Complex, Dock Road, Port of Spain.

A media tour of the vessel has been postponed to Tuesday mid-morning.
