France - World Cup Champions!

France have won the World Cup after beating Croatia in Sunday's Final to lift the most famous trophy in world football.

France won a six-goal thriller 4-2.

This match was historic in many ways. It saw the first ever own goal and Video Assisted Referee (VAR) - awarded penalty in a World Cup Final.

Goals from Antoine Griezman, Kylian Mbappe, Paul Pogba and an own goal from Mario Mandzukic won the match for the French.

This match also saw Didier Deschamps become only the third person in World Cup history to win the competition as both captain and manager.
