Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan is insisting that the seller of the Galleons Passage will be covering the expenses of the vessel while work is being done in Cuba.

On Friday NIDCO in a statement said the Galleons Passage will not be sailing to this country immediately but will remain in Cuba to allow remedial work which the seller agreed to complete. NIDCO then confirmed that an estimated departure date of the vessel from Cuba will be July 10th.

Addressing the media at a drainage works tour, Minister Sinanan provided the media with the ferry's update.

The Minister explained once the Galleons Passage arrives it will be put to use in just a few days time after arrival.
