Gov't Invites Chinese Banks To Set Up Operations In T&T

In keeping with its commitment to strengthen relations with China, Communications Minister, Stuart Young, said Government is preparing to send out invitations to have at least five Chinese banks come to this country to operate business.

Minister Young spoke on the matter while at the MOU signing between Chinese company Beijing Construction Engineering Group (BCEG) and local companies, Lake Asphalt and eTeck, on Monday.

He said he anticipates such an introduction can only boost the local banking sector.
