T&T Has LNG Advantage

The new Head of Atlantic LNG says Trinidad and Tobago must continue to be a world class player within the industry.

Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Philip Mshelbila, says this country has benefitted from the foresight of establishing a flourishing midstream and downstream gas sector over the last 20 years.

Mr. Mshelbila was speaking at Atlantic's 10th Annual CEO Awards at the Hyatt Regency this weekend.

The new CEO said the globally competitive company is in an advantageous position to capitalise on these exciting times in the LNG industry.

But he added the next 20 years will bring new challenges, such as growing population, rising energy demand, mitigating climate change, changing energy mix and improving air quality.
