Trinidad and Tobago franchise holder of KFC restaurant, Prestige Holdings Limited, is offering condolences to the family and friends of the man, who was killed by the security officer at the Independence Square branch on Sunday.

On Sunday a beggar was stabbed to death by the security officer after a small altercation in the restaurant. An eyewitness told C News he was denied the use of the bathroom facilities.

But the release from Prestige Holdings late Sunday evening stated the man was in the restaurant, with no intention to make a purchase or use the facility.

The release further states he was making strange demands and taking pictures of staff with his phone.

The restaurant manager then asked the two security officers to escort the man outside, before the altercation ensued.

Prestige Holdings reiterate they are cooperating fully with the Police in their investigations.
