FFOS To Appeal To Privy Council In Attempt To Stop Construction Of Toco-Manzanilla Highway

The group Fishermen and Friends of the Sea is claiming victory after the Appeal Court ruled in its favour, granting the organisation leave to appeal to the Privy Council in its attempt to stop construction of the Toco- Manzanilla Highway.

The Court also granted an injunction pending the hearing of that appeal.

The injunction effectively halts further construction work on the highway with immediate effect.
