Commonwealth Big Lunch

On Friday, 8 young leaders in Trinidad and Tobago got the opportunity to share how they are doing their part to make the country a better place. The event entitled "Commonwealth Big Lunch" is the British High Commission's curtain raiser to the Commonwealth heads of Government meeting.

British High Commissioner Tim Stew, said the "Big Lunch" is an annual get together to connect commonwealth youth organisations and local NGO's with relevant stakeholders in T&T.

He said in Britain, from Monday the queen will open her palaces across the country to representatives from the commonwealth for what will be the largest leaders summit in Britain's history.

One young leader of Renew TT, Adrian Thomas said his organisation strives to bring green energy to homes, businesses and where ever they may be needed.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley was scheduled to leave Trinidad today (Sunday) to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London.
