Finance Minister Defends Purchase Of Galleons Passage

Finance Minister Colm Imbert is maintaining the position that Government took all prerequisite steps in purchasing the Galleons Passage vessel from China to ensure this country gets value for money.

Responding to a question on the matter in the Senate on Tuesday morning, Minister Imbert explained the process surrounding the purchase.

The vessel was purchased by this country at a price tag of US$17.4 million.
