Statements made by the Prime Minister during government's delivery of Phase One of the Vieux Fort Housing Development in St. James on Saturday, has struck a chord with the MP for Oropouche East, Dr. Roodal Moonilal, who is coming out in defence of the late Prime Minister Patrick Manning.

On Saturday Phase One of the Housing Development was handed over to its 44 owners, 12 years after the project was started in 2006. But according to Dr. Moonilal, the delay was not the fault of the then Prime Minister Manning as was suggested by Dr. Rowley.

Dr. Moonilal described the statement as a "bold-faced lie".
