President Anthony Carmona has responded to Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley's request to provide clarity on the issues surrounding the six-month sabbatical leave requested by Chief Justice Ivor Archie.

Last week, the Prime Minister sent a letter to President Carmona in which he noted that under the Salary Review Commission's (SRC) 98th Report, the CJ was not entitled to any sabbatical leave.

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister has sent out a release confirming that the President has responded reaffirming his decision.

Dr. Rowley says he is examining the situation and will report to the country in short order.
