Residents of Woodbrook are calling on the authorities to create a designated route for J'ouvert Masqueraders by Carnival 2019.

At a meeting held by Member of Parliament for Port-of-Spain South, Marlene Mcdonald it was revealed that while residents don't have an issue with the atmosphere of Carnival, their homes have taken abuse for too long.

She listed some recommendations written by the residents to the Port of Spain Corporation.

The residents are also proposing a restriction be imposed on the use of paint during J'ouvert. They also want to relocate vendors in the area.
