UWI Holds Classic Concert On Ras Shorty I

The third UWI Classic Concert Series will be a celebration of the contributions of national icon Garfield Blackman or Ras Shorty I.

The series which enters its third year, will be done in collaboration with the Blackman Family and Media 21 as they share the contributions of the father of Soca and Jamoo.

The concert titled The Journey from Lord Shorty to Ras Shorty I, will focus on the late artiste's shift to Christianity.

The show is scheduled for March 11th at Queen's Hall and will feature Ras Shorty I classics and artistes such as Rikki Jai, Gypsy, Explainer and Olatunji.
