President of the Agriculture Society of Trinidad and Tobago Dhano Sookoo says the Government must clear the air on their intentions for the St Augustine nurseries.

This after the society claims it's the Government's plan to destroy the area to build houses.

Last week Housing Minister, Randall Mitchell, said the land government intends to use to build houses in Curepe, was not part of the St. Augustine Nurseries.

But addressing a press conference along the Southern Main road in Curepe today, Ms Sookoo said that's not the case.

She said a request has been made to meet with Prime Minister Rowley on the matter.
