OWTU officials representing employees of Trinidad Cement Limited (TCL) met with the company's management in a marathon meeting on Monday, to address several of the employees' industrial relations concerns.

TCL workers have been disgruntled for some time now, over issues ranging from outstanding backpay to workers' fear of retrenchment.

The meeting between both parties began at 1:30 this afternoon at the OWTU's Paramount building in San Fernando.

When contacted for an update late this afternoon, TCL Branch President of the OWTU, Ahmad Mohammed told CNews the meeting was still in progress and would give an update on the matter Tuesday.
