Inquest Ordered Into Teen's Death On Carnival Monday

The Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions has ordered an inquest into the stabbing death of 17 year old Reshard Singh, who was killed on Carnival Monday in Chaguanas.

A 29 year old man of Carlsen Field, who had been detained in relation to the killing, has been released pending the results of the inquest.

Police say Singh was walking along the Southern Main Road in the vicinity of Factory Road when he got into an altercation with a group of men.

He was stabbed about the body and later died at the Chaguanas Health Facility.

The inquest was ordered by Deputy DPP Joan Honore-Paul on Sunday February 18th, 2018.
