One Suspect Held And Two On The Run After A Robbery In Gasparillo

Police apprehend one suspect and are looking for another two who held up a gas station in south Trinidad early Friday morning.

According to police, Around 2:05am, 2 female employees of the Gasparillo, Quik Shop at Bon Aventure Road, Gasparillo were at work when 3 men entered the compound. We're told one was armed with a firearm and the men announced a hold up and proceeded to rob the victims of cash.

Officers from the Gasparillo police responded to the call and gave chase. One suspect was arrested.

A 27 year old man from Corinth Hill in San Fernando was held and a firearm recovered a short distance away.

This incident occurred less than 24 hours after another suspected robber was held in San Fernando within 15 minutes of a robbery being carried out at Bird Cage Bar, Mucurapo Street.

$40,020 in cash that had been stolen was recovered.
