The Soca Kingdom has regained its Monarch, as Machel Montano and Austin 'Superblue' Lyons' popular tune has copped the 2018 Road March title.

TUCO announced on Wednesday that Montano had taken the crown for yet another year with his late entry song ‘Soca Kingdom.’

This is Montano’s ninth win for the title of Monarch of the road.

The song was played a total of 336 times, followed by Iwer George's ‘Savannah’ which was played a total of 140 times.

In third place was Patrice Roberts’ ‘Sweet Fuh Days’ which was played 112 times.

This ninth win by Machel Montano is on par with Superblue for number of wins, but behind Lord Kitchener's 12 titles.
