A foreigner has died after being crushed by a music truck in Port of Spain.

He has been identified as 77 year old Kingsley Rodarier, a visiting national from Florida.

Information coming in stated that Mr. Rodarier was behind a three-tonne music truck on Victoria Square around 1pm on Carnival Monday.

It's believed the truck reversed to negotiate the bend and struck Mr. Rodarier. He fell and the wheel rolled over him.

He suffered massive chest injuries.

Doctors pronounced him dead on arrival at hospital.

In another incident, a 30 year old woman of Powder Magazine is being treated at the Port of Spain General Hospital after falling off a truck around 7:30am at Victoria Avenue, Port of Spain.

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is again advising masqueraders and spectators to maintain a safe distance from music trucks and large vehicles, and avoid assuming dangerous positions on these vehicles while they are in motion.
