No UTT Retrenchment This Week

The reports are not true.

Minister of Education, Anthony Garcia, told the Senate on Tuesday that contrary to what is being put in the public domain by the trade union, the University of Trinidad and Tobago will not be sending staff home this week.

He says however that negotiations take time, and all parties involved will be meeting at the negotiating table next Wednesday to come to an amicable conclusion.
