Parliamentarians Pay Tribute To Former President Professor George Maxwell Richards

Tributes for former President, Professor George Maxwell Richards, continued to pour in, this time in the House of Representatives.

Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley said he knew Professor Richards since his days working at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.

Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar said the former President was a strong advocate for increased participation by women in leadership roles.

Speaker of the House, Bridgid Annisette-George, also joined with the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader in paying tribute to the fourth President to serve Trinidad and Tobago.
