Minister of Energy, Franklin Khan, says it is too early to say whether workers will be retrenched at State-owned Petrotrin.

He was responding to a question in the House of Representatives from the MP for Pointe-a-Pierre, David Lee.

Dr. Lee was seeking answers based on recent reports that the Oilfields Workers' Trade Union (OWTU) had warned Government against retrenchment of workers in its planned Restructuring of Petrotrin.

He asked the Minister to state if there would be any job losses at the company.

Dr. Lee also wanted to find out when the restructuring would take place.
