On Sunday, the homeless of San Fernando and surrounding areas will be getting a lot of love as volunteers come together to support them.

The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government, along with volunteer groups, will be hosting an entire day of care event for those without a roof over their heads.

Krystel Ramdathsingh says the San Fernando Centre for Displaced Persons has made this its opening event.

The homeless will be treated to amenities which they cannot get on the streets.

Ms. Ramdathsingh says even though they have many volunteers already, the public is invited to attend to help look after those in need.
